Context Sensitivity
How much an AI system’s output changes when the context changes for a given model and task.
Context sensitivity measures how much the quality of an AI system’s output changes when the context changes for a given model and task.
A bounded task is low sensitivity: the desired answer is clear and extra context changes little. An open-ended task is high sensitivity: hidden assumptions, missing definitions, and situational knowledge can change the result completely.
The practical question is not “How much context can we provide?” It is “What is the smallest set of context this model needs to do this work well?”
